Born and raised in Government Camp on Mt. Hood, Keree Smith now lives in Alaska where owns and operates her own commercial fishing vessel, the FV Deborah. The past 9 years, she's spent her summers in Bristol Bay, harvesting from the largest wild sockeye salmon run on earth. Keree completed her training to become a private pilot in Madras in 2018 and continues to journey south for some Central Oregon sunshine during Alaska's dark and bitter months.
"Oregon still holds a special place in my heart. I am so grateful for the aviation community here in Madras, who continue to support not only my aviation endeavors, but my business ventures as well."

The stars seemed near enough to touch and never before have I seen so many. I always believed the lure of flying is the lure of beauty, but I was sure of it that night.
